Product Marketing Manager - Smart Design

As a Product Marketing Manager at Smart Design, I played a crucial role in shaping and executing marketing strategies for both internal and client-focused initiatives. Selected as a member of a 2-person marketing team, I led the strategy for a $500K+ marketing budget, supporting the internal global marketing strategy across Smart Design’s US and UK offices. Additionally, I managed client product marketing campaigns and competitive analysis research, driving a 12% increase in client sales revenue.
One of my key achievements was redirecting the 2019 social and paid digital marketing strategy, resulting in a +26% increase in engagement on Smart Design’s website. This involved conducting SEO research and optimization, competitive analysis, and keyword research to enhance our online presence. I regularly curated, wrote, and updated the News section on Smart Design’s website in response to press and external media mentions. Furthermore, I prepared, drafted, and sent email content for Smart’s external monthly newsletter to a +15K email database, ensuring consistent and engaging communication with our audience.
In my role, I also created and optimized omni-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging SEO research and competitive analysis to maximize reach and impact. A significant part of my work involved collaborating with Industrial Designers on OXO product development and crafting go-to-market strategies for several OXO toddler product lines. These efforts contributed to successful product launches and increased market penetration.
Through my strategic marketing initiatives, I not only enhanced Smart Design’s digital footprint but also significantly contributed to client success by driving higher sales revenue and broader audience engagement.
01. OXO - Tot Series
I was responsible for a majority of OXO's customer insights research, which helped the industrial design team produce more user-centric and ergonomic products. The sleek design, intuitive functionality, and durable materials exemplify the thoughtful approach taken by Smart Design and OXO in meeting the needs of modern families.

Featured prominently are the OXO Tot series, including ergonomic sippy cups, versatile booster seats, and convenient feeding utensils, all designed to simplify parenting and improve everyday tasks. The sleek design, intuitive functionality, and durable materials exemplify the thoughtful approach taken by Smart Design and OXO in meeting the needs of modern families.
OXO’s ergonomic kitchen tools, such as peelers, can openers, and spatulas, are crafted to provide maximum comfort and efficiency, making everyday cooking and food preparation easier and more enjoyable.
02. Gx Sweat Patch and App - Personalized Hydration Solution
As part of Smart Design's collaboration with Gatorade, the Gx Sweat Patch and accompanying app represent a significant innovation in personalized hydration for athletes. This project involved the development of a sweat patch that tracks an athlete's sweat rate and electrolyte levels, providing tailored hydration recommendations through a connected app.
I was responsible for all marketing efforts to successfully launch this app and product to the target audience and managed the partnership with Gatorade and Smart Design. Additionally, I wrote the case study on the launch, highlighting its key achievements and market impact.
