Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), New York, NY | March 2022 – December 2022

During my tenure as an MBA intern for the Talent x Opportunity Initiative (TxO) at Andreessen Horowitz, I played a pivotal role in supporting emerging cultural founders with funding, training, and mentorship. My efforts were focused on implementing go-to-market strategies for healthcare biotechnology and e-commerce products, resulting in a 20% growth in user base.

I led and designed two comprehensive 4-week go-to-market, marketing, and social media strategies for the launch of these products. This involved developing and executing plans that enhanced brand visibility and user engagement. Additionally, I worked closely with the founders in the program to prepare them for their final demo-day and showcase at Andreessen Palo Alto. I drove and refined their pitch strategies, ensuring they effectively communicated their vision to potential investors and secured necessary funding.

My role also included leading partnership strategies for the founding companies, providing strategic direction on growth and scaling, customer and user research, product development, and pricing. I guided the founders through the critical stages of their final demo-day preparation, honing their pitches and informing investors about their funding rounds and financial raises.

Moreover, I spearheaded the sourcing strategy, supporting the development of over 15 venture relationships from prospective deals to investment and equity stages. This was based on a thorough analysis of the current state of each company’s business model. My contributions were instrumental in bridging the gap between innovative startups and potential investors, fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem within the TxO program.

The Talent x Opportunity Initiative (TxO) represents a pivotal effort to bridge the gap between technological and cultural innovations in America. This initiative is dedicated to discovering and supporting cultural geniuses who possess the talent, drive, and ideas to build breakthrough companies but lack the necessary networks and resources. By providing these entrepreneurs with funding, training, and mentorship, TxO aims to help them create durable, successful companies that harness cultural innovations. This initiative is a crucial step towards developing a more robust ecosystem for cultural breakthroughs, complementing America's expertise in scaling technological advancements.

As Strategist and Product Manager for SoaPen, I played a key role in launching a healthcare biotechnology and e-commerce product. I led and designed two comprehensive 4-week go-to-market, marketing, and social media strategies. These strategies were meticulously crafted to enhance brand visibility, drive user engagement, and ensure a successful product launch.

In addition to developing and executing these strategies, I designed and developed the pitch strategy and deck, which were pivotal in communicating SoaPen's value proposition to potential investors and stakeholders. This effort was crucial in securing the necessary support and funding for the product's market introduction.

One of the notable achievements during my tenure was the successful TikTok campaign, which resulted in gaining 10,000 followers within just three months. This campaign significantly boosted the product's online presence and engagement, contributing to its overall market success.

My work at SoaPen exemplifies my ability to combine strategic planning, creative marketing, and effective communication to drive product success in the healthcare and e-commerce sectors.
